Flowers like gerbera naturally keep fresh for long. But there are some other flowers that are delicate and you don’t know whether they will survive even till the guests arrive in the evening.
While cutting the stems, cut in a slant manner before placing them into the vase. Add some common salt to the water in the vase. This will keep the flowers hydrated well and the salt will provide the brightness.
After doing this, you can replace the old water in the vase with cold water. This way the flowers do not wilt and bring out their true colors.
